Ese rostro inexorable, implacable y desmesurado que se asoma a nuestra portada, una idea original del creativo Antonio Navas, fijado en la imagen de un incomprensible instante de dolor y rabia, de ternura, por el aclamado fotógrafo neoyorquino Michael Somoroff, congela la sonrisa mucho más allá del sarcasmo y la hipérbole, y planta cara a un año aciago, que culmina con la esperanza del superviviente y la certeza de que aún estamos a tiempo de recuperar la libertad, escamoteada por el zarpazo brutal de una pandemia que confirma que la naturaleza se muere y, con ella, la raza humana y el alma de todos esos héroes anónimos que no están dispuestos a permanecer impasibles, cruzándose de brazos como si no pasara nada, como si el horror no fuese con todos nosotros y con el futuro mismo de la humanidad. Esa sonrisa visceral, que emerge de un espíritu indomable, conjura el espanto y ahuyenta la angustia.
