Al Gore, exvicepresidente de Estados Unidos y Premio Nobel de la Paz, levantó su voz al recibir el Premio Madre Tierra de Cambio16. Reafirmó que la lucha contra el cambio climático no admite más demora y precisa de la acción urgente y decidida de todos los actores de la sociedad global.

Y estas acciones van desde el ciudadano, con el enorme potencial de su capacidad de decisión a la hora de consumir –un voto inapelable que atenaza a las empresas que se resisten a cambiar su modelo de producción–, hasta los gobiernos, reticentes a aceptar las exigencias que se derivan de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) en el proceso de descarbonización y transición hacia una economía circular y energías limpias.

Durante la entrega de ese importante reconocimiento por parte de nuestro CEO y editor, Jorge Neri, recalcó Al Gore que es ahora “cuando tenemos las herramientas necesarias para poner freno al calentamiento global y, en consecuencia, debe ser esta generación la que asuma la responsabilidad y el compromiso ético y moral de recuperar la biodiversidad de los ecosistemas”.

Cambio16 currently consolidates its modernization process as a means of independent, truthful and objective communication, edited by Grupo EIG Multimedia S.L., a company established under Spanish law.
