Although the Government of India has taken steps to keep MSMEs afloat during the current economic crisis, the Government can't ensure their survival and growth. To remain viable, MSMEs must diversify their supply chains, occupy vacant space in the value chain and take advantage of the disruptions to their competitors. This is particularly important because these companies are vital to the livelihood of millions of people. Apart from being the backbone of the Indian economy, MSMEs are also strategic players in the overall industrialization process.
The lack of standardization has been seen as a major hindrance to the growth of MSMEs. But our focus for MSMEs is to adopt new technology to help them get their products and services to the right customers.
