Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem, in the city to promote Baby Do Die Do, explain why they turned producers for an unusual script
“We had many people abandon us at different junctures till we were like, ‘Okay, we have to do this ourselves,’” said Huma Qureshi while reflecting on the four-year journey of bringing Baby Do Die Do, her upcoming film, to the big screen.
The actor reflected on how what began as an exciting script on paper turned into a test of persistence, which led her and her sibling, actor Saqib Saleem, to take the call of producing the film independently.
“It’s been one of the scariest, but one of the most satisfying experiences of my life,” Qureshi said during a visit to Ahmedabad earlier this week to promote the movie, while also discussing the experience of working with family and backing a story they believed deserved a theatrical release.
