FOR MORTLACH, stepping away from tradition means pushing its limits further to discover new possibilities of whisky-making through flavour, cask innovation, and craft.
The distillery achieved this with its new annual series. Titled Neverbound, the collection recently unveiled the first expression of its kind: Release 01.
To mark the Malaysian debut of Release 01, Mortlach hosted an intimate tasting at AS I AM by Chef Ton in Kuala Lumpur, where I got a first sip of this layered expression paired with elevated Thai canapés.
