1. What made you decide to write books for children?
It creates a lot of discipline and refinement as you want to present complex ideas in simple language without any compromise.
2. Your books mainly revolve around mythology... Do you think mythology is relevant today? How and why? Specifically vis-a-vis children
Justice is a mythic concept. It does not exist in nature. Animals do not understand it or ask for it. They follow the jungle way: might is right. Our stories and rituals keep telling us about just heroes and kings. Without mythology, how will we establish justice as a value? Without myth, there will be no good and bad, right and wrong, heaven and hell, God and Devil, deva and asura, prophet and avatara in the world.
