The National Animal Health Information System (iSIKHNAS) recorded a reduction in productive female ruminants cutting by 47.10% in the 2017-2018 period.
Director General of Animal Husbandry and Health, I Ketut Diarmita at the Jakarta Ministry of Agriculture Office Wednesday (13/03) said that the number of productive females cut in 2017 as many as 23,078 tails increased to only 12,209 in 2018.
"This reduction in significant productive female cuts is a result of the massive monitoring activities prohibiting the cutting of productive females in various regions in Indonesia specifically in 17 provinces which have been pilot project activities since 2017," said I Ketut.
He explained that the loans to cut large ruminant livestock of productive females could be sentenced to a minimum of 1 year imprisonment and a maximum of 3 years and a fine of 100 million to 300 million rupiah.
