ALBION HOPE RUCKUS 26 WILL BE EVEN BETTER THAN LAST YEAR

- By WILLIAM TELFORD

PLYMOUTH'S Brickfields rugby stadium is being transformed into an impressive gig arena for a two-day music festival this weekend.

The Devonport home of Plymouth Albion is preparing to stage the second Ruckus festival, with players beginning pre-season training this week as the stage was put up.

Already, the festival has sold nearly as many tickets for its two days of music as it did last year over three days.

Organisers are confident that, with hot weather forecast for this weekend, more people will be enticed by a string of top tribute acts and headliners such as chart-band The Hoosiers and up-and-coming sensation Liam C.

The fun starts at 4pm on Friday, July 3, with the first act, Foo Fighterz, on at 5.15pm. They are followed by Stiff Bizkit, Linkn P4rk and emo “experience” Ten Years Too Late.

On Saturday, July 4, doors open at 1pm with The Busketeers on stage at 2pm, with fellow Plymouth acts Andy Quick, and Vince Lee and Sophie Lord, following.
