KTR challenges CM Reddy to open debate, offers to quit politics if proven wrong
The Daily Guardian
|July 02, 2026
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to an open public debate on the Congress government’s performance, accusing it of administrative failures, financial mismanagement and neglect of farmers.
Addressing a media, KTR said he was prepared to debate the Chief Minister anywhere in Telangana, at any time, on any subject. ‘If I fail to prove the failures of the Congress government with facts and official data, I will resign immediately and retire from politics,’ he declared, asking Revanth Reddy to choose the venue, topic and timing.
KTR strongly objected to the Chief Minister’s repeated description of Telangana as a ‘bankrupt state’, saying such remarks tarnish the state’s image. He alleged that no Chief Minister who truly cared for his state would publicly describe it in such terms.
