Burton strike deal for Magpies forward Dennis, who leaves Meadow Lane after just one season

MATTHEW Dennis's time with Notts County is over after he left over the weekend to join fellow League One side Burton Albion.

The 24-year-old forward, who hit 14 goals in 42 for the Magpies last season and helping them achieve promotion from League Two via the play-offs, has moved to the Pirelli Stadium on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
A short statement from the Meadow Lane club confirming his departure added: “We thank Matthew for his contributions towards our promotion and wish him well for the future.”
Albion were understood to have show an interest in Dennis back in the January transfer window, but have managed to secure a deal for the player six months later.
