Saai stig vereniging om boere na VS by te staan, risiko te verlaag

Die familieboerenetwerk Saai het 'n vereniging geloods vir agentskappe wat Suid-Afrikaners help om werk op plase in die VS te kry.

Saai sê in 'n mediaverklaring dat die vereniging, H2A Agency Association (H2AAA), ten doel het om die integriteit van die professie, sowel as die geleenthede wat jaarliks aan Suid-Afrikaners en plaaswerkers van elders in die wêreld gebied word, te beskerm en te bevorder.
Volgens Saai is H2AAA 'n tydelike visumprogram wat boere in die VS sedert 1952 in staat stel om seisoenale werkers uit verskeie lande regoor die wêreld te werf om op hul plase te werk.
In die 2024/2025-seisoen het sowat 25 000 Suid-Afrikaners aan die program deelgeneem.
Boere in die VS skakel meestal met agentskappe wat werksaansoekers keur, hulle met administratieween reisreëlings bystaan, en as tussenganger tussen VS-boere en Suid-Afrikaanse werkers optree.
