Legendary musician receives a Lifetime Achievement Award at the SAMAs
AFTER 40 years in the entertainment industry, legendary musician Steve Kekana is due to finally receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) in Sun City on 2 June. The Take Your Love hit-maker says his patience and hard work has paid off.

Steve is very excited and feels honoured to be chosen for a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s SAMAs. “The receipt of this award has influenced a new fire in me. For others, a Lifetime Achievement Award marks the end of their musical career. But for me, it means I am useful in the industry and need to keep on going,” says Steve, who separated from his wife in 2016.
