Brenda's Health Scare

MUSICIAN Brenda Mtambo’s star may be rising in the local music scene but her health is not in tip-top shape. The muso got the scare of her life when she was hospitalised for a recurring kidney condition called pyelonephritis, an inflammation of the kidney as a result of bacterial infection. However, Brenda says her fans need not be alarmed as the condition is under control.

HOW SHE’S COPING

“I’ve always had a kidney problem. I try not to think about being sick, I am not sick as we speak so it comes and goes, but I know it has always been something that comes back,” she confirms. She says this condition has had an impact on how she lives her life now.
