A MANENBERG woman was shot during a drive-by shooting on Women's Day while on her way home from the butchery. Davidene Witbooi, 40, was gunned down in a hail of bullets on Saturday. According to Daily Voice sources, Witbooi was a witness in her brother Clinton Lewis's murder case. Lewis was allegedly shot in front of his family members, including Witbooi. Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie reported: “Manenberg SAPS registered a murder case for investigation after a 40-year-old woman was shot and fatally wounded during a drive-by shooting this morning, Saturday, 9 August 2025 at about 11.15am in 5th Street, Heideveld.
