寫下這段話時，台灣正在面臨疫情爆發以來最嚴峻的時刻。相比以往，台北城空蕩得多，城市的節奏也慢了下來，偶一瞬間，安靜的讓人有種錯覺，一切好像都停止了，工作、娛樂、日常，甚至連病毒的傳播，和隨之到來喧囂的，也消失了。
當然，稍後當它們以更快更猛烈的方式撲面而來，錯覺也煙消雲散。
疫情瞬息萬變，無論更好更壞，喧囂與沉默，到了出刊之時，一定也是不一樣的光景了。即使知道未來一定會戰勝病毒，一切終將過去，在這個當下，台灣仍經歷著幾十年來最大的挑戰及不安。
近日最後一次在空蕩的捷運上，焦急的翻看手機，偶然滑到詩人北島的一段話：「自然本身說到底就是沉默的，喧囂和噪音最後還得歸於沉默；喧囂打擾了事物的本質，而沉默使人回歸進自己。」一下子心突然安靜了。這段在牆外喧囂和牆內的沉默間來回切換的日子，也是最適合閉關提升自己的時候，等到一切最終平靜下來，所有錯過的，也將重新相遇，再次歸來。
