Maritime Services highlights the work carried out by the Baltic Exchange, which has been benchmarking the prices of seagoing vessels and cargoes since the mid-1980s. Safety is of utmost concern to all of us in the maritime industry, and this took on an added dimension with the arrival of the Coronavirus Disease 2019. The feature story highlights Singapore’s development from a trading post in the 14th century to a global maritime hub, as well as efforts by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore to help Singapore remain a leading and vital node in the global maritime network.
