Awal tahun ini kami rangkum terbitan perdana dengan memberikan 61 alasan untuk pergi menyelam ke beberapa destinasi yang utamanya tentu di Indonesia dan beberapa negara lain juga, namun jangan lupakan destinasi lama seperti halnya kembali berkunjung ke Bunaken timur (hal 8 ) selain mengenang masa lalu juga berguna untuk melihat perubahan apa yang terjadi disana.

Dan di edisi kali ini, saatnya kita merayakan ketenaran dunia bawah laut melalui karya-karya foto dan videonya. Berkat peranan media mainstream, diving kini merambah pesat di masyarakat, dan tim kami sengaja mengumpulkan lima tokoh fotografer dan videografer bawah laut yang telah menjadi legenda tersendiri di dunia penyelaman, yaitu Hans Hass, Jacques Cousteau, Valerie Taylor, David Attenborough, dan Laurent Ballesta. Dalam Ocean’s 11 kami juga menampilkan 11 mahluk hidup bawah laut yang menjadi ikon di film-film terkenal dan juga lautan di dunia yang menjadi lokasi pembuatan film-film box office.

Destinasi pun kami menampilkan tiga pilihan destinasi lokal yang layak dikunjungi, seperti Walea, Mandeh, dan Teluk Tomini. Serta 20 alasan kenapa menyelam di Asia Pasifik menjadi tempat terbaik di dunia. Simak pula kisah legendaris Laurent Ballesta dalam pencariannya menemukan ikan purba coelacanth.

Dengan semangat baru ini, kami mencoba mengubah Scuba Diver THROUGH THE LENS menjadi lebih SEGAR! Kami tidak hanya ingin menampilkan karya-karya terbaik di dunia fotografi dan videografi, tapi juga ingin menampilkan keindahan seutuhnya apa yang Ocean Planet ini miliki.
Kita, para penyelam, mau tidak mau pun harus keluar dari air, mengeringkan diri, melihat ke sekeliling daratan, melepaskan keegoan mengenakan neoprene, kemudian mencoba peralatan dan gadget yang ada, beraktivitas di dunia “atas”, makan, minum (di tempat yang lebih dingin mungkin) sebelum waktunya nanti kita kembali menyelam.
Di edisi kali ini pun kami akan menampilkan bagaimana cantiknya pesona bumi Ternate, pulau kecil yang lebih dikenal akan rempah-rempahnya, serta konservasi penyu di Pulau Samber Gelap.
