Philippine Tatler Homes unveils its Luxe issue, curating the finer things in life that bring pleasure and comfort beyond ordinary. For this issue, we visited the Jo Malone London Townhouse, where every room is styled with scent, and enjoyed a weekend of fine food and wine at historical Château Siran in enchanting Bordeaux. Besides the magnificent sanctuaries we have visited, check out as well our list of beautiful objects and experiences that celebrate the joy of fine living... be it a sip of the world's best Prosecco or gourmet chocolate fantasies.

In this issue we celebrate the hands that make the beautiful objects that fill our homes and the raw materials from which they are born. Photographed by Paco Guerrero, our cover stories—Jet Acuzar and the workshops of Las Casas de Acuzar in Bataan—illustrate the excellence of Philippine craftsmanship. We juxtapose Jet’s minimalist yet heritage-centric home with the wonderful, creative grit of her family’s atelier. Chef Aaron Isip also opens his bachelor pad, sharing his Filipino wabisabi ethos. There are also wonderful stories from across our country featuring master potters, historic mansions and sustainable woodsmiths. And placing the spotlight on raw materials, we also showcase handblown glass, luxury leather and sleek stone lighting.

We also cannot ignore that glorious blue sky and brilliant sunshine that embrace us during these summer months. To add a splash of colour: there are colourful bedroom designs, vibrant coastal homes and stunning abstract artworks by young contemporary artists like Gabby Prado, JC Intal, and Fitz Herrera. The latter’s gorgeous and uplifting work has a place in my office above refurbished, custom-made, vintage narra buffet by Allen Oblena. The impeccably elegant Fortune Ledesma gives us a peek into a day in her life while Juana Manahan Yupangco teaches us how to eat a rainbow palette of produce.

In this issue, we focus on these qualities and integrate
them with the principles of beauty and style that Tatler is
known for. Integration is key. As all the elements of our
lives are now fully intertwined and revolving around the
home, I believe we can fully embrace the concept of enduring, sustainable quality in our lifestyles.

Tatler Homes Philippines reflect on the key concept "Dual Living", where the home is an integral part of our lifestyles—being the axis around which not just routine but also work, school, and leisure revolve. Architect Sarah Canlas, whose stunning, self-designed Antipolo family home features on this edition's cover, introduces us to the concept as she herself was fashioning a life split between a chic urban condo and an expansive retreat. Dual Living advocates Donnie and Crickette Tantoco open their beautiful homes to us and share how they have created two distinct spaces adapted to the dichotomous rhythm and flow of weekday and weekend. In the latest volume of Philippine Tatler Homes, we step into the new home of Maritess Tantoco-Enriquez. Her dining room is an exuberant feast in itself, its walls painted with floor-to-ceiling murals depicting Filipino flora and exotic birds.

In this issue, we take you across continents into a world of wonderfully eclectic luxury interiors beginning with our cover story: the home of Aquazzurra’s Creative Director Edgardo Osorio. Located within the historic Palazzo Corsini in Florence, it is a glorious play of contrasting elements—antique and modern, colour and pattern—all set off against De Gournay’s divine wall coverings. 

Bespoke furniture joins arresting contemporary artworks to create a perfect blend of duality, of past and present. It is now central to many a special occasion. It is where memorable meals are whipped up. It is where friends and family love to gather.

Within our contemporary lifestyle, it has become de rigeur for one’s kitchen to become an inspiring space. You can achieve just that with the latest kitchen trends as spotted by Asia Tatler in this year’s EuroCucina during Milan Design Week. In the gorgeous light of a perfect summer day, nature’s hues, too, are amplified. Step into a suburban sanctuary south of Manila designed by the architect Noel Saratan for Patsy Zobel de Ayala. His ingenious architecture makes you feel immediately one with nature as the luscious greens of tree ferns and palms, and the calming blues of pools and ponds blur the lines between indoors and outdoors. 

In a similar fashion, the vivid African sky seems to float right into The Observatory, the spectacular home of IT entrepreneur Rory Sweet, nestled high in South Africa’s Waterburg Mountain Range.
