The Director General of Animal Husbandry and Health, I Ketut Diarmita, on the occasion explained that the increase in production, population and quality of livestock commodities is inseparable from the support of food availability. So efforts towards food independence continue to be sought by the Directorate General of PKH. Ketut emphasized that the government is committed to continue to be able to prepare the availability of affordable and quality feed for farmers. Especially to support the WORK program, namely activities to improve the welfare of farmers through poultry cultivation (local chickens and ducks). The availability of adequate feed and nutrition is also a support for the success of Siwab Upsus (Special Obligatory Cows). To fulfill this commitment, Ketut instructed the Director of Pakan to coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture's Research and Development Agency to synchronize the Ministry of Agriculture's flagship programs. "This is in accordance with the direction of the Minister of Agriculture that food independence needs to be realized in supporting the sustainable Ministry of Agriculture program," he said.
