Program ini telah terlaksana mulai awal tahun 2014 dan tampaknya keberadaan produk generik mulai digaungkan lagi.
Bagaimana industri farmasi in-line dengan kerangka farmasi dalam program tersebut? Lebih jauh lagi, bagaimana pemenuhan demand dan kualitas produk generik di era JkN saat ini? Jika kita berbicara brand layanan transportasi taxi White Horse, memang layanan transportasi tersebut dari awal mula dihadirkan dikhususkan untuk segmen A+. Berbeda dengan taxi bermerk Bluebird dimana berawal dari segmen menengah, brand tersebut mencoba memperluas market dengan menghadirkan Silver Bird bahkan yang terbaru Golden Bird untuk segmen A+.
Seiring dengan semakin tumbuhnya kelas ekonomi menengah, maka ekspektasi untuk menjadi bagian kelas premium pun semakin tinggi. Terkadang beberapa memaksakan diri untuk menjadi bagian dari kelas premium dalam beberapa hal. Misalnya dari kendaraan yang dibeli untuk digunakan sehari-hari. Tak heran jika kemudian penjualan Mercedes Benz pun semakin tinggi di Indonesia.

Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean yang semula akan digulirkan pada tahun 2020, dipercepat 5 tahun sehingga tahun 2015 sudah siap bergulir. Kesiapan Indonesia untuk menghadapi persaingan di regional Asean tersebut pun dipertanyakan. Khususnya yang menjadi sorotan ialah seperti apa kesiapan industri beserta SDM nya dalam menghadapi persaingan. Dalam hal ini bagaimana sebuah industri mampu menghadirkan produk-produk yang mempunyai kualitas dan sejauh apa SDM di Indonesia mempunyai kompetensi tinggi sekaligus berdaya saing. 
Judul “Bermutu di MEA” dikesempatan kali ini memang terkesan sebuah ungkapan yang terlambat. Karena bermutu adalah sebuah bentuk kesiapan. Bermutu jauh-jauh hari sebelum MEA digulirkan rasanya akan lebih tepat. Akan tetapi siap tak siap, dalam waktu kurang dari 1 tahun, pasar bebas Asean tersebut akan tetap bergulir. 
Turun tangan pemerintah selama ini dalam menjalin komunikasi dengan industri untuk mempersiapkan diri menghadapi MEA memang tak terlihat. Semua berjalan sendiri-sendiri tanpa ada panduan yang jelas. Belum lagi jika kita berbicara mengenai pembangunan infrastruktur untuk menghadapi persaingan global yang jauh dari signifikan. Hingga pada akhirnya kini, beban persiapan MEA yang sangat singkat tersebut pun dilimpahkan ke pemerintahan yang baru, pemerintahan Jokowi-JK. 
Selalu ada harapan disetiap pergantian kepemimpinan. Hal tersebut memang tak bisa dinafikkan. Namun seperti apa pemerintahan Jokowi-JK akan bekerja untuk percepatan peningkatan mutu di MEA nanti. Dalam kesempatan kali ini, majalah The Quality menggunakan referensi dari Badan Standarisasi Nasional untuk membedah salah satu program pemerintahan Jokowi-JK terkait strategi dalam menghadapi MEA tersebut.
