This month, indonesia tatler has decided to dedicate our June issue to the men who shape our worlds and our lives. In particular, we pay tribute to fathers by featuring Dino Patti Djalal, James Rachman Radjimin, Jon Richards, Lucky Soebyantoro, Diaz Hendropriyono and their sons, who gave us an exclusive peek into the filial relationship that exists between a dad and his boys.
As June 21st is Father’s Day, we also visited former Minister of Defense, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, at his residence to meet with this patriarch of the “PhD Club” and his male progeny. After studying in America, all three of his sons are reunited back in Indonesia, and it seems they are here to stay and prosper. From entrepreneur to environmentalist, we feature Tomy Winata in our cover story. The staunch supporter of animal life, along with Indonesia’s Minister for Environment and Forestry as well as the Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, take us into the wild with a conservation program that rehabilitated and released two endangered Sumatran Tigers back into their natural habitat.
Also in this issue, friendship proves to be a fashionable affair between the new muse of Louis Vuitton, Jennifer Connelly, and the luxury brand’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière.
