Parents kept in dark over sudden headteacher exits

Seven out of the ten schools within Greenheart Learning Partnership now have acting headteachers in their place - six of whom are reported to have taken over after “unexpected” departures.

It is understood the following primary school academies affected: Heathlands, in Castle Bromwich; Fairway, in Kings Norton; Edgar Stammers, in Walsall; Albert Bradbeer in Longbridge; Woodhouse, in Quinton; Reaside, in FranKley; and Featherstone, in Wolverhampton.

News of the mystery leadership changes at many of the trust's schools comes after the “outstanding” head at Woodhouse left his role with “immediate effect” as the new academic year began.

A trust spokesperson confirmed the recent changes have “caused concern’, but was tight-lipped as he stressed there are “legal reasons” for parents being left in the dark.
