OSCAR winner Sally Field revealed that she had a close bond with Hollywood legend Robert Mitchum, but she didn’t have a clue what the heck he was talking about!

“I adored Mitchum. Mitchum would sit with me, and I never could understand a single word he said,” she said of the time they worked together in the 1967 film The Way West.

Speaking on the Talking Pictures podcast with Ben Mankiewicz, the 79-year-old Norma Rae actress said the star of the original Cape Fear took the then 18-year-old under his wing and was very nurturing, but incomprehensible to her at the time!
