IN A bizarre twist, the famed criminal defense attorney representing Nick Reiner — accused killer of his showbiz icon dad, Rob Reiner, and his mom, Michele — suddenly withdrew from the case and minutes later declared that his ex-client Nick was innocent!

The shocking withdrawal came just minutes before Nick was to be arraigned Jan. 7 on the knife-slaughter of his parents when defense lawyer Alan Jackson told the judge: “We would ask to withdraw as counsel of record. We have no choice but to withdraw and ask to be relieved.”

Jackson, who recently got Karen Read off for the alleged murder of her boyfriend in Boston, gave no explanation for his withdrawal.
