Hycon Hydraulic Systems is a family-owned company offering solutions for supply, service and repair of hydraulic pumps and motors, along with componentry associated with large-scale excavation and mining equipment.
Based in the Perth suburb of Maddington, the company has established relationships with various manufacturers, and can also supply parts and components from a range of brands.
In the industry for more than 35 years, Hycon has developed strict inspection, machining and assembly procedures for repair and rebuild services.
A commitment to quality, rigorous testing, and specialist equipment underpins its work with contract mining, construction, and forestry companies across Australia.
Assured of quality
At every stage of Hycon's repair process, its ISO-accredited quality assurance (QA) system tracks the work undertaken, ensuring the integrity of the finished product.
The business has developed equipment that allows repaired hydraulic components to be tested at full displacement, with design pressures and correct speeds to verify their conformance to manufacturers' specifications. It uses four machines designed to cover pump and motor testing requirements.
Hycon first gained quality certification in 1996 and is currently certified to AS/NZ/ISO 9001:2015 for the procurement, distribution, service and repair of hydraulic components. Hycon is committed to:
- Meeting and exceeding customer expectations and requirements;
- supplying quality products and services to customers;
- managing processes to ensure quality output, maximising efficiency and productivity; and
- continually improving the workshop operations function.
