The month of January brings the call of Adam’s Peak, known as Sri Paada – the Sacred Footprint, where pilgrims come in thousands to worship the footprint of the Buddha.
The Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, is a historic Buddhist shrine with celebration of the Duruthu Full Moon in January. It is place considered sacred by the visit of the Buddha nearly 3000 years ago.
