With more variety for campers than ever, a major SEC exhibition is bringing home comforts and convenience to your next adventure
IF there's one downside to the popularity and subsequent growth of the Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show, it's the size of its name. Organisers QD Events, based in Glasgow's SEC, have taken on years of feedback and expanded the range of exhibits, and now there truly is something for everyone here - hence the mouthful of a moniker.
The longest running show of its kind in Scotland, its footprint is equally large, taking over the entire floor of the SEC, which isn't usual for events held here.
"How many more items can we add to that title? We might have to simplify it further at some point down the line!" says Kerry Porter from QD Events.
Over the 40-plus years of its life, exhibitors have gone beyond caravan sales to include camping equipment (this year in the "Vango Village"), campervans and motorhomes. Kerry and the team have also responded to requests for more accessories at the show, with visitors able to see everything from e-bikes to boats, barbecue equipment to camping food and outdoor furniture.Denne historien er fra February 2025-utgaven av The Scots Magazine.
