From coast to countryside, the social media influencer reveals the places that have shaped his creative vision

- CHRIS PAUL LAWLOR

my Scotland

When I visited Fingal’s Cave it felt like I had arrived on another realm as I walked across the perfectly shaped hexagonal columns that looked man-made but were created by nature.

imageOn the boat trip from the Isle of Mull, I happened to bump into my geologist friend Luisa, who was giving a tour that day. It was fascinating to hear her explain the geology behind these formations. The towering hexagonal columns, known as basalt, were formed millions of years ago by volcanic activity. As molten lava cooled and contracted, it cracked into these striking geometric shapes. This day out was completed with the boat taking us to Iona, which hosts some of the most beautiful beaches and turquoise waters I’ve seen. Unforgettable.
