The charity chief is full of plans for HMS Unicorn in Dundee
How did you first get involved in the Unicorn Preservation Society?
I used to be curator at the Scottish Maritime Museum and took a role here as museum manager. The role has evolved, and I am now executive director of the charity.
What's your main aim as executive director?
To shout as loudly and proudly as I can about our amazing team aboard the ship and the great work they do, and advocate for the importance of the history of the ship - it deserves to be preserved.
What can you tell us about Project Safe Haven on HMS Unicorn?
The plan is to create an exciting, sustainable future for one of the oldest ships in the world. It's a conservation rather than a restoration project; we are trying to keep as much of the original material as possible.
How important is this for Scotland?
