No one is arguing that a milky or smoky cheese paired with prosciutto on a charcuterie board isn’t heavenly. But charcuteries have evolved to include more than cheese and deli meat. Food stylists and photographers who design them have concocted combinations meant to stimulate the visual, as well as the gustatory senses.
