Five simple words which encapsulate what travelling truly means to any self-described adventurer or explorer. With that in mind, we bring you an issue that marries the best of both worlds when it comes to travelling at this time of year: snow-filled sojourns and winter sun wanderings.

As for me, I make a reservation for Björn Frantzén's three Michelin-star venue, FZN, before falling for the soothing charms of the Atarmia Spa at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi. Finally, I round off the month with a trip to Abu Dhabi’s Al Wathba Desert and experience pure opulence at Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa.
