Celebs sought for innovative mental health campaign

'POSITIVE MESSAGE' POSTCARDS TO BE AUCTIONED FOR CHARITY

A CHARITY group set up in memory of a Teesside teenager who took his own life is urging local celebrities to get on board with their new postcard scheme.

The Cameron Laidlaw Foundation was set up by the Middlesbrough youngster's family after he committed suicide in April last year at the age of just 16, with the aim of tackling the issues around the mental health of young people.

Cameron's heartbroken mum Stacey Baldam, who started the foundation, said they are launching a mental-health postcard campaign - an initiative rooted in creativity, and urging celebrities to take part.

She said: "We are inviting famous people to craft a mental-health or positive-message postcard for our cause. We will happily send them a blank postcard along with return postage for them to design however they see fit. They also get their very own positive postcard from us.
