When our life was bananas

TODAY is the anniversary of the first lockdown five years ago.

It was life-changing for the vast majority of us as we were plunged into working from home, not seeing anyone and being limited to one walk a day.

Now, the memory of footstep stickers on the floor of our local Co-op makes us laugh at the idea of having to walk one-way in the tiny shop.

Many people found solace in the kitchen with home-made sourdough becoming as common as a Hovis loaf.
