Davie's boys dug out half-time hairdryer for him

- ALMONDVALE

THE PRIDE OF LIONS

DAVID MARTINDALE revealed he didn't give his Livi players the hairdryer treatment at half-time because they gave themselves a rollicking.

Livingston looked down and out in the relegation scrap as they trailed to goals from Dundee duo Yan Dhanda and Cameron Congreve at the break.

But Martindale's players were so annoyed with their dismal first-half showing that they did not need their boss to read them the riot act.

They looked a different team after the restart as goals from Jeremy Bokila and Tete Yengi earned them a battling draw.

Martindale, whose side moved to within three points of second-bottom Killie, said: "They actually were having a go at each other.

"I was really, really happy with it so I let that happen, let that calm down.

"They were doing it in the right way, not in a negative way, not in a physical way or an aggressive way. They're putting demands on one another and over the years I think it's something that's coming out of the game.
