The empire strikes back with top trio

MY favourite week of Bake Off is usually biscuit week.

But last week's show continued on from the opener of the series with a string of complicated offerings, many of which looked inedible.

I love all things biscuit but I don't want to eat one which is the colour of a Subbuteo table.

The previous week featured an “island” cake with grey icing which didn't even look like food.
