A DAD who tried to throttle his ex-girlfriend hours after being granted bail has been jailed after breaching another order not to contact her.

Ben Polland had turned up at the woman's home and threatened to kill her in February last year.

Weeks later, he pled guilty to breaching an order not to contact his 22-year-old ex but after being granted bail, turned up at her home and assaulted her again.
