MP Leishman blasts Westminster 'fools' over Israel support

A SCOTTISH Labour MP has branded Westminster colleagues "obedient fools" for supporting the government's "complicity" in Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

Brian Leishman, who represents Alloa and Grangemouth, said Britain is not "on the side of humanity" in the Middle East conflict which has left over 70,000 Palestinians dead.

The outspoken politician who was suspended from the party by Keir Starmer for four months for rebelling against the Government - slammed arms sales and the military support the UK provides to Israel.

He highlighted how more than 500 RAF surveillance flights from Cyprus have been carried out since Hamas and Israel went to war in 2023 - with the findings shared with the armed forces of Benjamin Netanyahu.

Leishman said: "Incredibly, we train IDF soldiers - soldiers of an army that commit war crimes.
