It's Barney

NEIL LENNON admits he may need to plead with Falkirk boss John McGlynn for a belated Christmas present after Barney Stewart's goalscoring swansong in the Fife derby.

Dunfermline downed Raith 2-1 for their first win in Kirkcaldy in almost nine years, seeing them leapfrog their rivals into fifth.

Andy Tod and Stewart - who has been on loan from Falkirk since September - got the goals before Dylan Easton buried a penalty with half an hour left. It sees Stewart sign off from East End Park with eight goals in 12 games, given his deal is up this week and Bairns boss McGlynn has decided to give the 21-year-old a crack at the Premiership.
