Chiefs not released vet notes on destroyed police pooch

POLICE chiefs have refused to release the medical notes of a young police dog put down after a car accident.

As revealed by the Sunday Mail, two-year-old German Shepherd Zara was killed weeks before Christmas last year after an incident while on a walk with her handler.

Force insiders said the surgery to repair her broken pelvis would have cost £12,000 and was a deciding factor in her death.
