AN EX-SERVICEMAN has cut hundreds of pounds from his island neighbours' energy bills by making their homes warmer and greener.

Scott Watson, a former RAF military analyst, grew up in Cumbrae off the coast of Ayrshire and, since returning home, is a man on a mission.

Scott, 40, now works as an energy assessor for the Scottish Government-funded Carbon Neutral Islands (CNI) scheme aimed at making six islands including Cumbrae net zero by 2040.
