SPOT SHCK Spots keeper Ruairidh Adams saves from Ondrej Kricfalusi

- BY MARK WALKER

SCOTLAND keeper Ruairidh Adams is kicking himself because he reckons he should have saved THREE spot-kicks in Friday's Under-21 Euros opener defeat.

The Dundee United shot-stopper was at the centre of a remarkable incident in the 2-0 away loss to the Czech Republic, after he had come off the bench as a replacement for injured Hearts goalie Liam McFarlane.

With Scotland on top and searching for an equaliser, the hosts were awarded a second-half penalty and that's where the drama began.

Adams initially stopped the penalty from Matyas Vojta but German whistler Florian Badstubner ordered a retake on the advice of his assistant.

The 21-year-old then kept out the second spot-kick from Ondrej Kricfalusi with his legs before, to his astonishment, he was again ruled to have come off his line too quickly by the same assistant.
