Over a third of Scots cops fail to complete training course

POLICE Scotland paid £1.37million for a leadership training course which more than a third of the officers attending failed to complete.

The force shelled out the enormous sum to accounting giant EY for the Your Leadership Matters programme.

Figures released via freedom of information laws show 3785 officers and 825 police staff attended "at least one" of three events as part of the course.

However, just 2385 officers and 653 police staff attended all three - 63 per cent and 79 per cent respectively.
