Cremonese win again as Vardy 'enchants'

JAMIE Vardy played his part in another Cremonese win, with the Leicester City icon and his new team now looking up the Serie A table.

After a brace against Bologna the previous weekend, Vardy did not get ‘on the scoresheet in Cremonese’s 2-0 victory over Lecce, but did play his part in the buildup to their second goal, teeing the ball back for across that was swung on to the head of Antonio Sanabria.

Italian newspaper La Repubblica said the 38-year-old “enchanted” with his performance, adding: “Vardy's usual impressive work is noteworthy. Even when he struggles to shoot, he's a magnet for his teammates’ passes.”
