Care home approved for county's new village

A 70-BEDROOM care home will serve Leicestershire's newest village, under plans approved by Charnwood Borough Council.
Described as a garden village, Broadnook is being built on 460 acres between Birstall and Rothley. It could eventually expand to 2,000 homes.
Its care home will be opposite the village square and near the primary school.
Designed for residents who need residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, it will include a cinema, gym, cafe and hair salon.
