It was a stroke of serendipity that led Anna and James Reader to purchase a holiday let on the Isle of Harris. 'James has loved the Outer Hebrides since he was a boy and has explored much of the region — though he'd never actually been to Harris,' recalls Anna. 'We planned a trip with friends, and while we were there, we struck up a conversation with the owner of a small coffee hut. She mentioned that she and her husband were about to sell their holiday let, so we arranged to view it that same day. When we saw the location, overlooking Luskentyre Beach, we were speechless.'
