NEW COMEDY DRAMA
The Canterville Ghost Christmas Day, 3.10pm, & Boxing Day, 3pm, Channel 5
Having starred in Merlin and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Anthony Head is no stranger to supernatural tales, but this Christmas, the actor breaks new ground when he stars as a disgruntled spook in a modern adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s 1887 short story The Canterville Ghost.
The Channel 5 two-parter stars Head as Sir Simon de Canterville, the ghost of a nobleman who was imprisoned and left to starve to death at Canterville Chase after allegedly killing his wife.
