When President Rodrigo Roa Duterte announced his decision to appoint Secretary Paulyn Jean B. Rosell-Ubial as health chief, it was met with approval by many of her colleagues at the Department of Health and fellow health advocates. She is believed to be the right person for the job, at the right time. Knowing whereof she speaks, she steadily rose from the ranks from her initial stint as a rural health volunteer some 27 years ago.
