Welcome to our Winter 2019 issue of Autostrada,
When we started this magazine five years ago everyone would tell us “one day you should get Jay Leno on the cover”. We never thought that day would come, but we always kept it in the back of our minds as we evolved the magazine and met some incredible people.
As our network expanded we had the pleasure of featuring Ferrari Collector David Lee on the cover of our September 2017 issue. David generously put us in touch with one of Jay’s people and after a year of persistence we were standing in the most famous garage in the world.Jay is an absolute class act, the only thing stronger than his passion for vehicles is his knowledge of every car in his collection. This man is an encyclopedia of automotive facts, from engine size to production numbers to the history of the previous owners. He is a car guy to the core. We had the pleasure of spending the morning with Jay touring through the unique line-up of vehicles and it is an experience we will never forget.
After people saw the above photo of us with Jay they would rhyme off a handful of questions about him and his world famous collection, most of those questions are answered in the in depth article written by our long time friend and writer Michael Buccioni who joined us in California. An everlasting thank you to Jay and his team for opening their doors to us and welcoming us like we were one of their own, we will be forever grateful for the opportunity.
