Welcome to our Summer 2019 issue of Autostrada.
We had the opportunity to catch up with so many of our long time friends and readers at this year’s 2019 Canadian International Auto Show. Our booth was home to a spectacular line up of supercars
that were generously loaned to us by friends of the magazine – Maserati MC12, Mercedes SLR McLaren, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari F50, Porsche Carrera GT, Lexus LFA and Jaguar XJ220. Thank you again for trusting us with your special vehicles, we truly appreciate it.
Mario Andretti. We never thought when we started on our journey five years ago that we would be fortunate enough to spend time with such an automotive icon and have him on the cover of our magazine.
We were introduced to Mario at this year’s Auto Show, his keynote speech at dinner was a trip down memory lane with vivid descriptions of races and championships from his decorated career. Fast-forward to April 2nd and we were standing in the trophy room at Mario’s home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, after a road trip down from Toronto with our writer Michael Buccioni.
Walking through rooms full of memorabilia from trophies to vintage photos with Mario describing the story behind these special items was an experience that we will never forget. An overwhelming thank you to Mario and his team for taking the time to share your passion, history and journey with us.
As car covers are lifted and engines roar back to life we are looking forward to seeing our friends and readers at several of the unique Autostrada events we have planned for the season. Stay tuned to our social media outlets for more information.
