The epidemic of COVID-19, which has claimed the lives of millions of people in less than a year, has strangled the world in a way that has never been seen before. The claims that it is a biological weapon have sparked debate among scientists, academics, policymakers, and the legal community as an implication. However, there is still no conclusive proof that it is a bioweapon. Nevertheless, the impact of COVID-19 has unavoidably brought our attention to a thin line of difference between a biological weapon and a pandemic. Biological weapons spread pathogens or toxins to harm or kill humans, animals, or plants. They can be extremely contagious and deadly. Diseases brought on by such weapons could quickly spread across the globe and cross national boundaries.
